Bio
My name is Jennifer and I'm 22 years old. I was born and raised in Texas by my paternal grandmother.

I have two basset hounds: Sophie and Basil. Sophie is my baby girl. I've had her since she was a puppy and she's almost 4 years old now. Basil is also about 4 (best guess) and I "rescued" him. He was found wandering the streets of Houston and a lady took him in. I set up a transport and got him up to the DFW area and it was love at first sight.

The dogs are my children. I am childfree and I do not want any children. I love them to death and I may work with them some day, but I do not want the responsibility of raising my own. So far, so good. :)

My parents are divorced and have been for over 20 years. I have two brothers, one is 25 and the other is 16. My older brother has been married for over 5 years to a great woman and they have given me two wonderful nieces, ages 5 and 3. My dad remarried, so I also have a stepmom and two stepsisters. My mom is also remarried, so I have a stepsister from her new husband too.

I have a congenital disorder called Usher Syndrome. There are 3 types and I have type 2. This means that I have Retinitis Pigmentosa + hearing loss. I can still hear with hearing aids and speak very well. Retinitis Pigmentosa is an eye condition (I would say disease, but most people associate "disease" with "contagious" so I won't use that word) that causes you to lose your peripheral vision. So far, I haven't lost much and am still okay to drive. I don't know how fast my peripheral vision will go, but hopefully there will be a cure soon.

I'm currently attending Collin County Community College. I haven't decided yet what I want to do for the rest of my life, but I'm working on getting my Associates in Liberal Arts and then transferring to a university. I'm thinking that I want to work with children or animals, but I think it would be from a Social Worker / Animal Rights standpoint. I'm going to school part time right now, but I'm thinking of going full time and taking summer semesters to get out of there quicker. I spent too much time playing around after graduation, it's time to move on! Don't get me wrong though, I'm not done playing around. I'm always up for a good time and a few drinks.

I work full time for a freight brokerage company in the accounting department. I really like my job, but I hate the people I have to deal with.

I am a huge Dallas Mavericks fan. I cried when Miami beat them out for 2005-2006 championship, but they're a great team this season and I know they'll go all the way again. OK, so they didn't go all the way.. But they're still my team and there's always next year!

So in a nutshell, I have dogs, I don't want children, my parents are divorced, I'm fairly successful, I have a desire to do more than I am now and I love the Dallas Mavericks. Oh, I'm also a vegetarian.
